Anotace / Annotation
Již od roku 1995, ještě před vznikem ternímu "BIM", propagovala organizace "buildingSMART International", tehdy ještě pod názvem "IAI", změnu v projektování a způsobu realizace zaměřením se na informační model spíše než výkresy. Organizace buildingSMART začala vyvíjet normy pro sdílení těchto informačních modelů, protože hned na počátku rozpoznala, že spolupráce a společné sdílení dat bude zásadní. Vznikl standard IFC a dále se rozvíjel v mnoha dalších verzích díky narůstající zpětné vazbě od uživatelů a vývojářů software. Později vznikly také další mezinárodní standardy jako IDM či IFD a započala spolupráce s velkými normalizačními institucemi jako jsou ISO, CEN a OGC. Dnes je většina standardů buildingSMART zároveň normami ISO. Pole působnosti buildingSMART bylo rozšířeno i do dalších oblastí jako jsou efektivita procesů, společná terminologie či projekty infrastruktury. Z toho vyplynula nutnost reorganizace a buildingSMART se nyní mění ve více profesionální organizaci s promyšlenou strategií, jak napomáhat vývoji stavebnictví a facility managementu na globální úrovni. Díky struktuře poboček jsou silně podporovány národní iniciativy což je možné vidět na německém příkladu. Prezentace přiblíží vývoj buildingSMART v mezinárodním měřítku, zaměří se na její standardy a také ukáže, jak by se mohla zapojit organizace v ČR.
Since 1995, and before the new acronym "BIM" had been coined, the organization "buildingSMART International", at that time named "IAI", has been propagating a change in design and construction methods by focussing on model-based information, rather then on drawings. buildingSMART started to develop standards for sharing such model-based information as it had been realized right at the beginning, that supporting collaboration and jointly using such data would be most crucial. The IFC standard was born and further developed through many release cycles with ever increasing response and demand from users and software developers. Later other international standards have been initiated, such as IDM and IFD, and a strong collaboration with standardization institutions, such as ISO, CEN and OGC, has been established. Today most buildingSMART standards are also ISO standards. The focus of buildingSMART grew and other areas, process improvement, common dictionaries and latest infrastructure works have been added to its scope. A reorganization became necessary and buildingSMART is now progressing into a more professional organization with a profound strategy to serve the global construction and facility management sector. Through the chapter program national initiatives are strongly involved in this work, and example from Germany is shown. The presentation will highlight the development of buildingSMART at the international scale, focus on its standards, and show how also organization from the Czech republic can get engaged.

Dr. Thomas Liebich je majitelem AEC3 Germany, konzultační společnosti nabízející specializované služby pro specifikaci a aplikaci informačního modelování budov a součinnost více než 10 let. Na evropské úrovni spolupracují s AEC3 Ltd. Je vedoucím mezinárodního týmu buildingSMART pro vývoj Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) a vyvíjí mnoho služeb pro usnadnění jejich implementace včetně ifcXML, mvdXML a aktuálního certifikačního programu buildingSMART 2.0.
Mezi hlavní projekty, na kterých pracoval, patří první automatický systém kontroly kódů v Singapuru, projekt integrace CAD/GIS v Norsku, technická podpora pro první mezinárodní architektonickou soutěž vyžadující openBIM - Národní muzeum v Oslo v Norsku a vývoj směrnic a ověřovacího procesu pro Americký sbor armádních inženýrů v Německu. Je spoluautorem příručky BIM pro Německo vytvořené pro Spolkovou agenturu pro stavebnictví, městské plánování a záležitosti urbanismu.
Thomas Liebich je držitelem dokrorátu z Bauhaus University ve Výmaru. Zúčastnil se mnoha výzkumných projektů včetně nedávného projektu EU STREAMER (BIM a GIS pro energeticky úsporné areály nemocnic), Hesmos (energeticky rozšířený BIM systém) a německého projektu Mefisto (multi-modelová BIM spolupráce). Je zapojen také v aktivitách pro vzdělávání a školení v openBIM. Přednáší na univerzitách a pro profesní organizace.
Dr. Thomas Liebich is the owner of AEC3 Germany, a consulting firm delivering dedicated services for specifying and applying building information modeling and interoperability for more than 10 years, collaborating with AEC3 Ltd. on European level. He is leading the buildingSMART International team for developing the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) and he is developing many services to facilitate their implementation, including simple ifcXML, mvdXML and currently the buildingSMART certification 2.0 program. Major projects he carried out in his professional career include the world's first automatic code checking system in Singapore, the CAD/GIS integration project in Norway, the technical support for the first international architectural contest requiring openBIM - the National Museum in Oslo Norway, and the development of open BIM guidelines and validation process for the US Army Corps of Engineers in Germany. He is the co-author of the recent BIM Guide for Germany developed for the Federal Agency for Buildings, City Planning and Urban Affairs.
Thomas Liebich holds a PhD from the Bauhaus University Weimar. He has been involved in many leading R&D projects, including the recent EU projects STREAMER (BIM and GIS for Energy Efficient Hospital Districts) and Hesmos (energy-enhanced BIM framework) and the German Mefisto project (multi-model BIM collaboration). He also is involved in open BIM education and training activities, giving lectures at universities, and for professional associations.
